मी नेहमीच आपल्या मराठी भाषेसाठी आग्रही असतो. पण आज खूप दिवसांनी एक कविता आंग्लभाषेमध्ये सुचली. (ह्यापूर्वी काही कविता प्रसंगानुरूप आंग्लभाषेमध्ये लिहिलेल्या आहेत.) ती मूळ कविता आणि त्याचा मराठीत मीच केलेला स्वैर अनुवाद आपल्यासोबत सामायिक करत आहे. आपल्या प्रतिक्रयांची मी आतुरतेने वाट पाहात आहे. धन्यवाद 🙏😊
A Call for Justice
Candles lit, voices raised, a cry for what's right
But still, the crimes persist, day and endless night
Rape, a heinous act, a scar that won't fade
Leaving victims shattered, their lives forever frayed
Enough of gentle protests, enough of peaceful pleas
It's time for stern action, for justice to seize
The perpetrators, brought to book, no more delay
Swift punishment, a deterrent, come what may
No more candlelight vigils, no more silent screams
Let justice roar, like thunder, and shake the dreams
Of those who dare to harm, to violate and destroy
Let fear grip their hearts, as punishment employs
Shoot the rapists, on the spot, a stern decree
A message loud, a warning clear, for all to see
No mercy, no quarter, for those who bring shame
Justice demands, a punishment that's swift and plain
Let this be a turning point, a new dawn arise
Where safety reigns, and fear demise
For daughters, sisters, mothers, and wives
A world where they can live, without constant strife
Rise, India, rise, and demand what's right
Justice, swift and sure, shine with all your might
No more candles, no more tears
Let justice roar, and wipe away all fears.

आवाहन न्यायासाठी
कितीही मेणबत्त्या पेटवल्या, आवाज उठवला, कितीही ओरडलो
तरीही, दिवसाच काय काळ्याकुट्ट रात्रीही होत आहेत अंतहीन बलात्कार,
एक घृणास्पद कृत्य, एक डाग जो कधीही मिटणार नाही
बळी पडलेल्यांचे आयुष्य होते कायमचे उध्वस्त
पुरेशा नाहीत आता सौम्य निषेधाच्या घोषणा, शांततापूर्ण विनवण्या
आली आहे वेळ न्याय मिळवण्याची, कठोर कारवाईची
आणखी विलंब न करता गुन्हेगारांना अटक करा,
जलद शिक्षा करा नाहीतर कधीही उद्रेक होईल आमच्या भावनांचा
यापुढे मेणबत्तीच्या प्रकाशात जागर नाही, यापुढे मूक किंकाळ्या नाहीत
मेघगर्जने प्रमाणे न्याय गर्जना करू या आणि गुन्हेगारांना हादरवू या
ज्यांनी हानी पोहोचवली, सामाजिक बंधनांचं उल्लंघन केलं
त्यांच्या अंतःकरणाला शिक्षेच्या भीतीने ग्रासू द्या
काढा बिनधास्त कठोर आदेश बलात्काऱ्यांना जागेवरच गोळ्या घालण्याचा
एक संदेश, एक स्पष्ट चेतावणी, सर्व नराधमांसाठी
आता लाज आणणाऱ्या गुन्हेगारांना दया नाही,
आता न्यायाची मागणी नाही, थेट न्याय करा
हा एक टर्निंग पॉईंट असू द्या, एक नवीन पहाट उगवू द्या
जिथे सुरक्षितता राज्य करते आणि मृत्यूची भीती असते
मुली, बहिणी, माता आणि पत्नींसाठी
त्या मुक्तपणे जगू शकतील असे जग निर्माण करूया
उठा भारतीयांनो उठा,
यापुढे मेणबत्त्या नाहीत,
आणखी अश्रू नाहीत
न्याय गर्जना करू द्या
आणि प्रत्येक स्त्रीच्या मनातली भीती
कायमची पुसून टाकू या
