Poem - As we welcome the New Year
As the clock strikes twelve,
and the old year fades,
A new dawn breaks,
with hopes and promises made.
The fireworks burst,
in a colorful sight,
As we welcome the new year,
with all our might.
The calendar's page,
turns to a new leaf,
A fresh beginning,
a chance to breathe and relief.
The mistakes of the past,
are left behind,
As we step into the new,
with a heart and mind.
The resolutions we make,
with a determined grin,
To be better versions,
of ourselves within.
To laugh more often,
to love more true,
To make this year,
the best one anew.
The possibilities stretch,
like a canvas wide,
Awaiting the brushstrokes,
of our hearts' inside.
The dreams we've been chasing,
the goals we've set high,
Are within our reach,
as the new year says "try".
So let's raise a glass,
to the new year's cheer,
And toast to happiness,
that's always near.
May our hearts be light,
and our spirits bright,
As we embark on this journey,
into the new year's light.
May the road rise up,
to meet us on our way,
And may the wind be at our back,
come what may.
May the sun shine warm,
upon our face,
And may the stars guide us,
through life's busy pace.
As we begin anew,
with a heart full of cheer,
May our lives be filled,
with love, laughter, and tears.
May we find our way,
through life's joys and fears,
And may the new year,
bring us closer to our dreams and peers.
So here's to the new year,
with all its delight,
May it bring us joy,
and make our hearts take flight.
May our laughter echo,
through the days and nights,
As we welcome the new year,
with all its shining lights.
